The Global Chia Hackathon is starting soon, and in addition to the $500,000 prize pool, there will be a special NFT airdrop for participating developers!
The motto of this Hackathon is: “Salute to developers!”
In the cryptocurrency world, stories of Satoshi Nakamoto, Vitalik, CZ, Gavin Wood, Bram Cohan and others have all inspired developers and programmers to build awesome blockchain projects around the world.
Take Bram Cohen for example. He made his name known worldwide when he created BitTorrent, and has now cemented his legacy forever. He then entered into the crypto space and founded Chia, which has become well known for its ‘eco-friendly’ consensus mechanism called Proof of Space and Time (PoST).
Chia has been a hot topic worldwide, and there are more and more miners and developers joining the Chia ecosystem who believe in this game-changing project.
Chia fans and developers alike should be excited for the launch of the Global Chia Hackathon. Sirius Labs has partnered with Chia Network to launch this hackathon which is aimed at attracting strong technical teams or developers to see what can be built on the Chia Network.
The themes of this hackathon will include but are not limited to the following: Improved Layer2, Improved Defi, Improved NFT, GameFi, Tools and Wallets, etc.
To encourage developers, Sirius Labs will grant $500,000 to the prize pool, so each winning team will have a chance to receive a financial reward up to $100,000!
In addition, Sirius Labs will also prepare a special NFT airdrop for participants.
The NFT for this Hackathon will be limited to 100 pieces, and only the first 100 teams who send applications will receive them.
The design of the NFT is based on the “Salute to Developers” concept of the Hackathon. Sirius Labs wishes to show pay respect to all the developers who participate in building the Chia ecosystem by airdropping a unique NFT that will encapsulate the developer spirit.
The NFT uses randomly generated Github icons blended into an arena where developers are fighting. However, the NFTs will have further value beyond just this and these extra NFT features will continue to be designed by Sirius Labs.
The Global Chia Hackathon is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see what developers from all over the world build on Chia.
